Thesuccessful candidate will join an energetic, diverse team of nearly 60 staffincluding 40+ clinicians, 4 pre-doctoral interns, 6 counseling centerprofessional staff, 7 administrative staff, as well as a team of undergraduateparaprofessionals and master’s level practicum counselors. The mission of theUniversity of Illinois Counseling Center is to provide culturally competentservices to a diverse clientele presenting a wide range of psychological,educational, social, and developmental concerns. The Counseling Center isaccredited by IACS and is also an APA approved pre-doctoral internship site.<br><br>The University of Illinois is aland grant institution located in the twin cities of Champaign and Urbana incentral Illinois. Thisposition has a senior level administrative role along with three otherAssociate Directors (Director of Clinical Services, Director of Outreach andPrevention Services and Director of Training,) within the Counseling Center.This position is multifaceted in scope and function and is designed to assistthe Executive Director with the overall management of the Counseling Center's testingservices. In addition, this individual will assist the Executive Director inproviding vision and multiculturally competent leadership in the development,marketing, implementation, evaluation and assessment of testing servicesdesigned to support undergraduate and graduate students in their academic,personal, and social development.&nbsp; ThisAssociate Director will establish PATS including developing pre-screeningprotocols, providing oversight of testing inventory, developing trainingprotocols and operations. <br></span></p><p><span style="font-family: Arial">TheAssociate Director will provide leadership in Psychological Assessment andTesting and have demonstrated expertise and knowledge in best practiceguidelines for diverse populations of students. Additionally, the successfulcandidate will also have experience and knowledge in one or more administrativeareas consistent with Counseling Center services including: generaladministration, therapeutic services, outreach and prevention, training or educationalprogramming. The successful candidate will serve as a senior administrator andclinician who will assist in our ongoing efforts to build culturally competentstaff capable of serving the needs of a large, diverse student body.Flexibility, creativity and resourcefulness will be necessary characteristicsin managing the multiple roles as an administrator, supervisor, clinician andconsultant to the campus community. <br></span></p><p><span style="font-family: Arial">Weare searching for a leader who displays a thoughtful, self-reflective andcollaborative management style and strong ethical decision-making skills.&nbsp; </span></p><p><span style="font-family: Arial"><h4>Duties & Responsibilities</h4><ul><li>Establish PATS by developing and maintaining policy and procedures related to innovative and efficacious psychological testing services; provide administrative and strategic oversight of the design and implementation of all aspects of testing services including screening protocols, ordering of supplies, preparing budget proposals, and scheduling testing appointments.</li><li>Provides direct services, such as test administration, assessment feedback to clients, and crisis/urgent services.</li><li>Provides administrative supervision of staff, including the oversight of testing, evaluation and analysis.</li><li>Develops and maintains policies and procedures to ensure adherence to the highest clinical and testing standards, applicable legislation, local health and safety laws and regulations and student affairs risk management policies, assessment of instruments, and professional codes of ethics.</li><li>Networks and consultations with university departments including DRES, the Office of the Dean of Students, Academic Departments, McKinley Health Center, and other Student Affairs units, as well as student communities and groups.</li><li>Assists the Executive Director with assessing service delivery in the many facets of Counseling Center services.</li><li>Serves as a member of the Counseling Center Administrative Team and participates in setting objectives, establishing priorities and developing strategies to improve Center operations.</li><li>Provides supervision and training activities for pre-doctoral interns, trainees, and paraprofessionals.</li><li>Assists in outreach and consultation services to students, faculty and staff.</li><li>Other duties as assigned. </li></ul><h4>Minimum Qualifications</h4><p>Education</p><ul><li>Doctorate in Clinical, Clinical/Community, Counseling Psychology, or related field. </li></ul><p>Licensure</p><ul><li>Licensed in Illinois or license state-transfer as a psychologist. </li><li>Licensed for at least four (4) years at time of application. </li><li>No other licensure will be considered. </li></ul><p>Experience</p><ul><li>Minimum of five (5) years post-internship professional experience. </li><li>Demonstrated evidence of increasing supervisory and leadership responsibilities, with a minimum of three (3) years of administrative experience. </li><li>Minimum of two (2) years of staff administrative supervisory and clinical supervisory experience.</li><li> Minimum of two (2) years of post-licensure psychological assessment and testing experience.</li></ul><h4> Preferred Qualifications</h4><ul><li>Experience training students or staff in testing.<br>Experience in a college counseling center or higher education setting.</li></ul><h4>Knowledge, Skills and Abilities</h4><ul><li>Ability to conduct psychological testing and clinical interviews, including clinical assessment, case conceptualization and treatment plan formulation, for students with a broad spectrum of psychological problems, ranging from adjustment issues to major psychiatric disorders.</li><li>Strong theoretical and practice understanding of administrating psychological batteries including IQ testing, academic achievement test, executive functioning and neuropsychological testing.</li><li>Commitment to social justice education, practice with cultural humility, and ability to foster positive interactive relationships with a varied population.</li></ul></span></p><p><span style="font-family: Arial"></span></p><h4>Appointment Information</h4><p>This is a 100% full-time Academic Professional position, appointedon a 12-month basis. The expected start date is as soon as possible after hire.The budgeted salary range for this position is $105,000 - $135,000.
